MS Eyeing a Controlling Interest in Activision?
GamesIndustry.biz has a story looking at how Vivendi, which has a controlling 60% share in Activision Blizzard, is considering selling it off to make their shareholders happy. Few companies would be able to afford even just three-fifths of the largest video game publisher in the world, and one of those companies is Microsoft. This would put Blizzard's franchises as well as Call of Duty in the hands of a console manufacturer, so you know they'd push towards bringing as many of those brands under the Xbox family of products as they could.
